Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to facilitate and maintain progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, fostering continuity in patients' care pathways.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and promptly, aligning with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Remain at the forefront of the field by pursuing continuing education and engaging in professional collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
