Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury / Civil Trial Attorney to join a growing legal team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and be comfortable handling significant personal injury matters from inception through resolution and trial.

Candidates should have at least five years of personal injury or civil litigation experience , ideally including at least one year on the plaintiff side. However, attorneys with significant insurance defense experience are strongly encouraged to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury and civil litigation cases from inception through trial.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall case value.
• Conduct and manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients during mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Prepare cases for trial and take an active role in trial strategy and execution.
• Work closely with clients, medical professionals, experts, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of personal injury and/or civil litigation experience.
• At least one year of plaintiff-side personal injury experience preferred.
• Attorneys with substantial insurance defense experience will also be considered.
• Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines.
• Strong client communication and case-management skills.
