IT Support Specialist

Incumbent deploys, maintains and decommissions hardware and software (Windows computers and iOS mobile devices), provides technical support (phone, email and desk-side), and assists with technical projects. Incumbent must possess strong technical and customer service skills and be able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stay organized and communicate effectively is a must. SPECIALTY Information Security- Knowledge of theprinciples, methods, and tools for protecting information and informationsystems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption,modification, or destructionin order toprovideconfidentiality, integrity, and availability. Work Schedule: Full-time, permanent. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work outside of normal business hours - evenings and weekends may be required. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Thisjobis based ina typical office environment. Role requires equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.The incumbent should be capable of meeting physical requirements, which mayinclude sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, walking, and standing. Other Significant Factors: Job requires on-call support. Job requires local travel within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Job may be required to report to work in all conditions. Job may require various shifts, extended hours or weekends.
