Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a high school setting
• Strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting students with diverse physical, emotional, or developmental needs
• Understanding of IEPs and implementation of educational accommodations
• Patience, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance, ensuring student’s educational and social goals are met
• Support classroom activities under the supervision of certified staff
• Aid in implementing behavioral strategies and academic interventions
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with tracking student progress and documenting observations as required
• Adapt to varying classroom dynamics and respond flexibly to student needs
