This Level 1 trauma facility provides comprehensive inpatient cardiothoracic surgical services with established protocols for quality patient care delivery. The medical center utilizes the EPIC EMR system for documentation and care coordination across all service lines. Modern surgical equipment and support systems are maintained to serve the patient population across clinic and operating room settings.

Connecticut offers a range of attractions spanning aviation history, outdoor adventure, and natural heritage. Notable destinations include the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Brownstone Adventure Sports Park in Portland, Mystic Seaport's shipbuilding history, Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, and the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat experience. The state further provides options for amusement, craft beverage tours, and varied outdoor experiences suited to a range of interests.

Clinicians will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage during Monday through Friday 8-hour day shifts across clinic and operating room settings, with call responsibilities as negotiated. An average of 10 patients per day will be managed in an inpatient setting, with the clinician operating on-site. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and surgical procedures. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
