Location 146 West 13th Street,New York, NY, 10011,United States Advancement Associate Position Overview: City and Country School seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Advancement Associate to support a full range of functions within communications and development. This full-time, entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow into a higher-level role while playing a vital part in strengthening the school’s outreach, engagement, and fundraising efforts. The Advancement Associate will coordinate key projects, support event planning, and ensure smooth collaboration across teams. The Advancement Associate reports to the Director of Development and Communications. Key Responsibilities: Communications Organize and execute the school’s weekly newsletter. Format and send all division- and community-wide emails, including email marketing and event communications. Contribute to the development of content and tracking performance analytics for social media channels. Update school website as needed. Monitor and respond to emails from the school’s communications inbox (View email address on click.appcast.io). Marketing Coordinate and track all marketing content for feeder organizations and prospective families. Design and produce materials such as invitations, presentations, and flyers. Development Support the Development Office by coordinating C&C Fund and event activities, engaging volunteers, assisting with alumni/ae programming, and conducting donor and foundation research. Handle donation and pledge entry, gift reconciliation with the Business Office, and acknowledgment letter generation. Generate and manage database queries, exports, and reports in Raiser’s Edge, as well as update constituent data. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; 1–2 years of related experience (fundraising, communications, or similar) Job Requirements Google Suite and Microsoft Office Email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and social media scheduling tools (e.g., Gain, Buffer) Familiarity or willingness to learn other skills, such as: Databases like Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge, including generating queries and reports Tracking, segmenting, and reconciling donor and applicant data across systems Website content management systems Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines Proactive, collaborative, flexible, and able to work independently Commitment to the mission of City and Country School Ability to work occasional nights and weekends Compensation and Benefits: City and Country School offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with level of experience and qualifications plus benefits. This position has a salary range of 65,000 – 75.000 per year. This full-time bargaining unit position is in-person five days per week at the school’s campus in Manhattan’s West Village.
