Payroll Admin

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team and support payroll operations for approximately 1,000 U.S. employees. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now , strong knowledge of payroll compliance, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. This role will support the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll, employee inquiries, payroll reporting, and process improvements. The organization also plans to implement Workday HCM , and the Payroll Administrator will assist with this transition under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Key Responsibilities Process semi-monthly payroll for assigned employee groups using ADP Workforce Now. Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Support payroll tax filings, year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and internal audits. Maintain accurate employee payroll data, including salary adjustments, benefits, deductions, and personal information. Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and data verification to ensure accuracy and integrity. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Assist with the development and maintenance of payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support colleagues with payroll policies, procedures, and system-related questions. Prepare and maintain payroll documentation for internal and external audits. Assist with the implementation of Workday HCM and other payroll process improvements. Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll and employee information. Requirements Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now . Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is required. Experience with Workday HCM is a plus. Solid understanding of payroll laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices. Strong Excel skills for payroll calculations, reporting, and analysis. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and respond to employee inquiries. Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving payroll processes. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
