Details Stepdown/PCU mixed-acuity unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with chronic medical conditions Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30), 36 hours per week Some weekend shifts required Floating within the OSU organization required On-call required Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code teams Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted) Additional Information Provide care to a mixed-acuity population in a progressive care/stepdown environment First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon signing contract, with candidates outside Ohio required to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet American Traveler Job ID P-739128.
