Details Critical Care Float Pool role within a teaching hospital setting Floats to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU Float assignments are limited to units of equivalent or lower acuity Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Proficiency with Epic EMR required Required skills: IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management Teaching hospital experience required Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a charge RN or higher; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide critical care nursing support across multiple ICU units based on facility staffing needs and patient acuity Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon signing contract due to strict compliance timelines Locals accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of submission, limited to 7 days or less American Traveler Job ID P-743892.
