Senior Accountant Our client is an ambitious, high-growth energy company currently scaling rapidly to meet increasing demand. To support their evolving business and fuel momentum, they’re investing in a dynamic accounting team — and have just added a brand-new role: Senior Accountant. Responsibilities Oversee the implementation and maintenance of contract summaries, ensuring all relevant financial data is accurately recorded and updated. Manage the application of ASC 606 to customer contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Maintain deferred revenue schedules, ensuring all revenue is accurately accounted for and reported. Prepare price‑volume and fluctuation analyses by asset to support strategic decision making. Ensure efficient operation of the NetSuite system, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Collaborate with other members of the finance team to develop and implement strategies to optimize financial operations. Perform various other accounting duties as required, demonstrating commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA tracking. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with 1 to 3 years in public accounting or revenue accounting. Prior experience in the energy industry highly desirable. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software required. Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to customer contracts. Excellent analytical skills, with ability to prepare complex financial analyses and reports. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment. High degree of professionalism, capable of handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
