Position Description
Assistant Director/Deputy Associate Director, Business Intelligence
Summary: Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Assistant Director/Deputy Associate Director has responsibility for directing consolidation of data governance capabilities and expanding enterprise reporting, delivering strategic, decision-ready insights across all organizational levels. The incumbent will build cutting-edge analytics capabilities that help connect Federal Reserve staff with the supervisory and regulatory data needed to conduct prudent policymaking, effective supervision, and risk mitigation. The assistant director oversees both the Data Insights & Reporting team and the Data Governance team.
This position is located in Washington, DC.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct definition and operationalization of a comprehensive data strategy encompassing centralized analytics, reporting, data management, and governance for the entire Federal Reserve Supervision function.
- Lead the strategic integration of key data programs, including Common Exam Platform (CEP) and Common Data Platform (CDP), into a cohesive ecosystem.
- Dismantle bespoke, non-integrated data programs across the organization, replacing them with unified, enterprise-grade data solutions.
- Oversee the Data Insights & Reporting team to build robust, scalable analytics and reporting capabilities, with a specific focus on empowering examiners with actionable intelligence and tools.
- Expand enterprise reporting capabilities to ensure strategic, data-driven insights are delivered effectively across all organizational levels and leadership tiers.
- Lead and mature the enterprise data governance function by seamlessly incorporating and consolidating Supervision's existing data governance teams.
- Establish, enable, and overse a rigorous enterprise-wide data standards, ensuring data integrity, security, and usability across the System.
- Build strategic partnerships, by partnering across the Supervision group and the broader System to facilitate collaborative data utilization and proactive sharing of business intelligence.

- 10 Years of Experience leading data strategy, analytics, reporting and/or governance programs across broad data ecosystems.
- Documented success in building or consolidating data governance frameworks across a complex, matrixed enterprise or regulatory environment.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership, specialized business units, and operational stakeholders to drive business intelligence sharing and unified data strategies.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data management lifecycles, and the establishment of data governance frameworks at a systemic level.
- Proven ability to oversee technical teams developing sophisticated reporting, business intelligence dashboards, and centralized analytics for highly specialized end-users.
- Demonstrated capability in identifying organizational silos, providing input into decommissioning bespoke legacy systems, and driving the cultural change necessary to adopt unified, enterprise-wide platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to partner, collaborate, and build consensus across a complex, matrixed system of multifaceted stakeholders.
- The ability to translate complex, highly technical data systems and metrics into clear, strategic business insights for executive leadership.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in business administration or relevant industry certifications in data governance, business intelligence or enterprise architecture.

Deputy Associate Director, Business Intelligence
- 11 years of Experience leading data strategy, analytics, reporting and/or governance programs across broad data ecosystems.
