Current NRO Cadre employees should apply internally.This position does not qualify for the appointment of a Reemployed Federal Annuitant IAW DoWI 1400.25 Volume 300.What You Will Be DoingIT Project Managers should have experience in applying IT principles, concepts, methods, and standards to accomplish assignments such as:Managing complex IT and cybersecurity projects for intelligence and reconnaissance systemsDeveloping project plans, schedules, and resource requirementsMonitoring project activities and evaluating accomplishmentsProviding expert technical advice on project management mattersDeveloping and interpreting policies and procedures for IT project managementMaking decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT projectsEnsuring cybersecurity requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycleManaging the implementation of security controls and risk management frameworksCoordinating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with mission requirementsOverseeing the acquisition of IT systems and services in accordance with federal regulationsWhat You NeedHighly desired: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institutionMinimum of 3 years of specialized experience in IT project managementExperience with the interrelationships of multiple IT specialtiesUnderstanding of an organization's IT architectureKnowledge of new IT developments and applicationsStrong knowledge of IT security concepts, standards, and methodsExperience with project management principles, methods, and practices, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishmentsKnowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices as they relate to IT project managementExperience with federal acquisition processes and regulationsQualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform and is typically in or directly related to the duties of the position as described above. Foundational qualification requirements must be met within 9 months of assignment.
