Respiratory Therapist

Role: This position involves administering comprehensive respiratory care, including critical and general therapy, managing pulmonary treatments, and supporting patient assessments within a healthcare team. Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations and manage care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, perform mechanical ventilation, monitor respiratory status, and administer medications. Set up and check equipment, chart treatments, responses, and progress. Perform emergency procedures such as CPR, maintain airway patency, and manage ventilator settings. Conduct diagnostic tests like arterial blood gases and pulse oximetry, interpret results, and educate patients on sleep apnea devices and other therapies. Train staff and students on respiratory practices, manage inventory, and ensure equipment readiness. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s Degree from an accredited RRT program; Bachelor’s preferred. Less than 1 year of experience; professional certification (RRT) and licenses (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP) within specified timeframes. Ability to operate diagnostic equipment, perform troubleshooting, and provide effective respiratory therapies. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk extensively, and perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR.
