Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and device data
- Assess, document, and respond to patient conditions; interpret telemetry alarms and escalate promptly as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; manage infusion equipment and safety
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and communicate with the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, unit nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care and safety
- Support unit operations, including adherence to infection control practices and fall prevention measures; participate in unit handoffs and care planning
- Float to approved units as required by divisional needs and maintain competency across related clinical tasks

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Kansas (KS RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education: Associate degree in nursing (ADN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry nursing in a hospital setting
- Certifications: KS RN license and BLS
- Ability to work in a hospital telemetry setting and float to acute care or overflow units as needed
- Schedule requirements: Weekend coverage every Fri–Sun as part of a set schedule
- Holiday requirements: Travelers must work two major holidays from Thanksgiving Eve/Day, Christmas Eve/Day, or New Year’s Eve/Day
- Credentialing: Credentialing documents (CBC, DS, lab work) to be completed within 72 hours of offer; site orientation and training required in the first week
