Join our dynamic team today and find a rewarding career with a company that values you and all you bring to the table.About Your Role:As an Accounts Payable Associate at Dollar Tree's corporate office, you'll play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. You'll collaborate with internal business partners and vendors to resolve payment issues, maintain compliance with company policies, and support timely invoice processing in a high-volume environment.Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Invoice Processing & Payment SupportReview, verify, and process vendor invoices and invoice uploads accurately and in a timely mannerMatch invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation to validate payment requestsAnalyze and reconcile invoice discrepancies across multiple systemsReview invoices for tax compliance and accuracyEnsure invoices are properly coded and processed according to company proceduresVendor Management & ReconciliationReconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding itemsRespond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptlyPartner with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment and invoice-related issuesMaintain supporting documentation and records related to vendor transactionsBuild positive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersReporting & CompliancePrepare and maintain accounts payable reports and supporting documentationEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulationsAssist with audits and documentation requests as neededMonitor transactions for accuracy and identify potential process improvementsSupport month-end and year-end accounts payable activitiesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Purchasing, Receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepanciesCommunicate effectively with internal business partners regarding accounts payable processes and status updatesAssist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assignedSupport process improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and accuracy within Accounts PayableYour Required Skills and Experience:Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experienceStrong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentCommitment to accuracy, efficiency, and customer servicePreferred Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environmentExperience with accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platformsExperience reconciling complex vendor accounts and resolving invoice discrepanciesKnowledge of tax compliance requirements related to accounts payable processingStart Rate = $20.00 - $22.75 based on experience.Your Perks and Benefits:We offer a wide variety of rewards to support your health, wealth, and mental well-being.
