Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and eager to learn a valuable trade? We're looking for a Mechanic / Manual Machinist Apprentice who is ready to gain real-world experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical repair, maintenance, fabrication, and manual machining while building a long-term career in the skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics and manual machinists with maintenance, repair, fabrication, machining, and assembly projects.
- Learn to safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
- Support the disassembly, inspection, repair, adjustment, and reassembly of mechanical equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacement.
- Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Assist with setup and operation of:
- Manual lathes, milling, drill presses, grinders,saws,
- Gain experience in manual machining processes including:
- Turning, facing, drilling, boring, milling, threading, tapping
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Machining, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial trades.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Dependable, motivated, and eager to develop new skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on shop environment.
