As The Kids Experts™ in our region, Children's Minnesota is regularly ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top children's hospital.Department Overview The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services department has locations on the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. They provide comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation management services relating to congenital or acquired conditions that may lead to physical cognitive impairment. Patients receive help to achieve or regain functional potential in areas such as mobility, communication, and self-care. All care is coordinated with the patients primary care provider.Position Summary Responsible for the evaluation and provision of occupational therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior. This is an outpatient float position in the East Metro area, with potential assignments in Woodbury, Roseville, St. Paul or Lakeville.Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing occupational therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.
