CNC Machine Operator

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Location: Salem, VA

Pay Range: $19 - 21 per hour

Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

• Operate a variety of machine tools, including CNC mills and lathes, to produce precision metal parts and assemblies.

• Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet strict specifications and quality standards.

• Clean, deburr, and maintain machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Assemble components into subassemblies and complete units, including tasks such as press fitting, using hand tools, and applying adhesives.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technology degree is preferred.

• At least two years of experience in close-tolerance machining or a machine shop environment.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.

• Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation; programming skills are a plus.

• Mechanical inspection and measurement skills, including use of hand tools and measuring devices.
