Application Instructions
Job Title: CAD Technician
Reports To: Survey Manager
Job Overview: Assist in gathering, calculating and compiling data for use in estimating and operations for one or more discipline areas.
Generate cut/fill quantities for earthwork projects.
Generate cut/fill tick maps and cross-sections from bid drawings.
Design and quantify waste and borrow sites.
Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating or project folders.
Prepare machine control files for Operations team after successful bids.
Prepare progress and final as-built drawings with the Operations team.
Coordinate regularly with Estimating and Operations/Survey teams.
Associate's degree in a relevant field like computer-aided design (CAD), drafting, or engineering technology; or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
At least five (5) years of field experience and three (3) years of relevant work experience preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center.
