Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of their medical histories.
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through careful interpretation of imaging studies and lab results.
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons in developing and implementing individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Provide highly focused intraoperative support like preparing the operating room, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and confidently passing surgical instruments.
• Deliver exemplary pre- and post-operative care that encompasses medication administration, wound care, effective discharge planning, and patient education.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Completion of clinical rotations with a significant focus on surgery is highly desirable.

Certifications

• Possess a current and unrestricted PA-C certification.
• Current certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory.
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant is required.
