Now hiring a Team Lead (Saw/Machining/Welding) for a manufacturing company in Akron.

Shift: 5:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Thursday

Overtime on Fridays, 5:30am – 2:30pm.

Weekly pay ranging between $27 - $32 per hour, depending on experience.

The Team Lead’s primary responsibility is to work alongside and oversee the team members in the saw, machine shop and weld areas to produce material cut to print, machined parts, and weldments in accordance with production goals.

Job Duties:

• Promote safety in the workplace by ensuring all team members abide by safety rules and standards.
• Train and instruct team members on work instructions and proper machining procedures.
• Provide each team member with daily assignments and production goals.
• Review and timely distribute prints to appropriate personnel as instructed by the Operations Director.
• Follow all applicable quality and inspection procedures.
• Ensure that team members clean their work areas after work daily to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report the materials needed to keep the team working daily.
• Assist Operations Director and Human Resources Director to develop and document updated work instructions for the operations occurring in the Lead’s assigned work areas.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of five (5) years as machinist.
• Mill and Lathe experience.
• Previous leadership role in a manufacturing facility.
• CAM software experience – Mastercam preferred.
