Area Sales Manager - New Jersey

Good Boy Vodka is immediately looking for qualified candidates to represent the brand. This position is designed to achieve maximum sales growth in your region, focusing on retail and on‑premise customers. The successful Area Sales Manager will be challenged to meet or exceed assigned sales goals, identify and respond to opportunities that build and enhance brand equity in the long term while maximizing short‑term sales. The role requires upholding the company’s integrity by following its guidelines and meeting expectations, goals, and mission. The Area Sales Manager reports to an assigned Regional Sales Director and works in tandem to achieve sales and distribution goals.

Responsibilities

Secure incremental sales by being in the trade five days a week.

Utilize company software to document all sales/account activities.

Partner with GBV Leadership and distributor/wholesaler partners to develop relationships and build the business within the territory.

Work directly with liquor managers and store directors to maximize exposure of the GBV portfolio in select markets.

Manage depletion and distribution objectives for the retail/on‑premise channels.

Ensure 100% compliance with authorized planners and promotions developed by the various chain headquarters.

Produce weekly and monthly reports of key metrics and execution of the business plan.

Perform sales support functions, including use of current point‑of‑sale marketing materials and oversight of shelf space in specified accounts.

Maintain continuous communication with the Chain Sales Manager regarding buyer preference changes, out‑of‑stock situations, and retail changes.

Introduce new products, reinforce volume and display activity, ensure vintage rotation, shelf and cold‑box placement, and monitor in‑store promotion results.

Stay abreast of business/market conditions, build rapport with other vendors, and recognize new product and display opportunities within each account while maintaining necessary territory records and administration.

Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Perform other work‑related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred five or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium products in a retail environment.

Associate degree and/or equivalent related experience such as distributor/wholesaler management and merchandiser/route sales experience.

Well organized with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Competitive drive and a desire to win.

Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state car registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.

Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry a 25+ pound case of product on a repetitive basis.

Ability to travel within the territory up to 90% of the time, defined as time out of office visiting accounts.

Ability to pull, push, kneel, and bend.
