Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing various types of pain through interviews, physical examinations, and detailed documentation within our electronic medical records system.
• Work closely under the supervision of two experienced board-certified pain management specialists to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans.
• Order and interpret necessary laboratory tests, imaging studies, and consultations to support effective diagnoses and treatment options alongside the attending physician.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of care quality by assisting with data collection and analysis regarding treatment efficacy within the pain management clinic.
• Communicate sensitive diagnostic results and treatment goals clearly with patients, ensuring they understand their condition and care pathways.
• Manage medication refills, particularly for non-controlled substances, providing consistency in care to enhance patient adherence to treatment protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients experiencing chronic pain, which can include conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain, among others. Our patient-centric approach emphasizes empathy, listening, and educational support to empower patients on their healing journeys and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of professional clinical experience, especially in pain management or similar settings, is preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and other clinical procedures relevant to patient assessment and treatment.
• Impressive organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize patient needs.
• Strong computer literacy within a Windows environment, showcasing the capability to navigate electronic medical records competently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for clear and compassionate conversation with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital or pain management clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with chronic pain assessment tools and treatment methodologies.
• Background in patient education and support with chronic illness management.

Compensation and Benefits
