As part of our Medical Practice industry team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia, managing patient care throughout surgical procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of every patient. Working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in delivering seamless, patient-centered care that aligns with our practice's commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and evaluate patient medical histories
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs, oxygen levels, and anesthesia depth, adjusting as necessary
• Manage postoperative pain and oversee recovery from anesthesia to ensure patient comfort
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology assistants, nurses, and other medical staff
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including airway management and resuscitation efforts
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with medical and legal standards
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of employment
• Associate-level experience in anesthesiology, with demonstrated clinical proficiency
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical environment
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard medical software
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 7:30a-5p

1:9 beeper call rotation with post-call shift off

Case Mix: OB, adult and pediatric ENT, orthopedics, bariatrics, GI, bread-and-butter surgery, breast, neuro, and trauma

No hearts or thoracic cases

Will supervise CRNAs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
