MRI Technologist

This critical access hospital is looking for an MRI technologist to start as soon as possible. The shift is 4x10 days. The years of experience required is one, and first-timers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS and AK license. Skills required per UD. On-call is not required, but the clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs including outpatient, acute care, and some SNF. The facility is open to accommodating a block schedule. Locals are not accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Pending license is not accepted. RTO restrictions are based upon request. Guaranteed hours are 72 hours per two weeks, and the traveler can be called off for one, eight-hour shift per two weeks.

This critical access hospital sees patients of all ages and diagnosis. The therapy department sees outpatients, inpatients, and SNF patients as well as wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties.

This is an acute care medical center/long term care facility/outpatient magnet/teaching/level trauma level IV trauma, critical access hospital with a total of 46 acute care staffed beds and 22 LTC beds. Scrub color is any or business casual. Charting is Epic, and parking is free.

The facility provides housing and a rental car/vehicle to travelers during the assignment. Housing units are typically one-bedroom apartments. Housing will be available for move-in not earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and not longer than 24 hours after the contract ends. Pets are not allowed. Housing units are typically large enough to accommodate only the traveler. Bringing additional family members is not common and needs to be approved by the facility. Housing unit will need to be cleaned upon departure or it will be subject to additional cleaning fees billed to the traveler. The facility will arrange for a vehicle for the traveler to use while on assignment. The vehicle will either be a facility-owned vehicle that will be rented to the traveler or a vehicle through a rental car company. The vehicle will be available for use no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and not longer than 24 hours after the contract ends. Only the traveler is authorized to be the operator of the vehicle. The traveler must provide a copy of a valid driver's license and proof of insurance prior to operating the vehicle. The traveler's personal vehicle insurance policy must have rental car insurance to cover any accidents/damages to a rental car. Vehicles for traveler use are provided solely for use "around town" and should not be taken off-road or outside of a 30-mile radius from the facility. If the traveler has time off during their contract, they must turn in the vehicle during time off and they will be issued a new vehicle when they return. If you would like tire chains for the vehicle, this is an additional cost billed to the traveler. The vehicle must be cleaned before return and with a full tank of gas.
