Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This opportunity is available for experienced SLPs (CCC preferred) as well as Clinical Fellows (CFYs), especially those with an established supervisor. Positions are onsite and span multiple locations within Michigan, offering a fulfilling way to support young learners’ communication development.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid or pending SLP Licensure in Michigan (proof of application required for out-of-state candidates).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFYs considered, particularly with a supervisor in place.
• Experience in school-based settings appreciated.
• Comfortable working onsite and collaborating across disciplines.
• Copy of official university transcripts required before district consideration.
• Knowledge and sensitivity to the challenges faced by urban students and available resources.
• Willingness to travel between school buildings as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one and group speech/language therapy to K-12 students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff for integrated communication supports in classrooms.
• Develop and track IEP goals and participate in team meetings.
• Complete and maintain records in compliance with regulations.
• Refer students for additional speech and language support when required.
• Conduct evaluations, write reports, and support eligibility determination for special education services.
• Train staff and families on AAC systems and best practices.
• Handle and organize therapy equipment and materials efficiently.
• Participate in professional development activities and provide training to others.

This contract begins August 17 and continues through June 11 for 35 hours per week.
