Speech Language Pathologist in Davison, MI

Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to K-12 students and help them discover their voices in a supportive, dynamic school environment! Contract opportunities are available for onsite Speech Language Pathologists to work with students across a variety of grade levels. Candidates who hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) are preferred, though strong Clinical Fellow (CFY) applicants with an established supervisor may also be considered.


Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university (official transcripts required prior to presentation)
• Valid or pending (with proof of application) Michigan SLP license
• Experience in school-based settings or strong clinical fellowship candidates
• Comfortable working onsite, with flexibility to travel between assigned school buildings if needed
• Understanding of resources and challenges facing urban students and families; Flint locations may ask about related experience
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Familiarity with IEP and MET processes
• Proficient in conducting evaluations, writing reports, and maintaining accurate documentation
• Experience or willingness to provide training on AAC systems

• Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy to K-12 students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to integrate communication goals into classroom instruction
• Participate and contribute to IEP and MET meetings, crafting annual and short-term goals
• Maintain thorough records and ensure documentation meets compliance standards
• Refer students for further services as necessary and support colleagues with strategies for language development
• Offer in-service and training for school staff on best practices in speech-language support
• Conduct assessments and write detailed reports for suspected impairment cases
• Manage and maintain therapy materials and equipment
• Travel to assigned school sites within the district
• Support students and staff with AAC systems
