Patient Services Operations Design & Documentation Specialist

The Planet Group is seeking a Patient Services Operations Design & Documentation Specialist to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients supporting AbbVie Patient Services (APS). This team helps patients access and stay on therapy through coordinated patient engagement programs, operational workflows, and support services.

• Location : Hybrid in Mettawa, IL (T-TR onsite)
• Duration : 6 months to start
• Location/Address : Mettawa, IL
• Pay Rate: $40 - $50/hr depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)

Responsibilities

• Support execution of patient support and engagement programs through operational coordination and documentation management
• Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, process maps, operating procedures, and training materials
• Translate cross-functional discussions into clear written summaries, action items, and operational documentation
• Support creation of scalable templates, documentation systems, and repeatable workflow processes
• Track project milestones, dependencies, updates, and documentation changes across teams
• Ensure all documentation is organized, version-controlled, standardized, and reusable
• Assist with change management documentation and training support materials
• Coordinate operational workflow documentation across Patient Services, Product, Strategy, and Development teams
• Support operational readiness activities and help maintain alignment across cross-functional initiatives
• Help organize and maintain documentation repositories and operational process materials

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in operations coordination, project coordination, PMO support, documentation support, healthcare operations, or similar environments
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Experience creating SOPs, workflows, training guides, process documentation, or operational materials
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments
• Comfortable working cross-functionally while operating independently under structured guidance
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required

Preferred Experience

• Pharmaceutical, healthcare, patient services, or regulated-industry experience preferred
• Technical writing, copy editing, documentation governance, or process coordination experience is a plus
• Experience supporting PMO, Operations, Product Management, or Strategic Operations teams preferred
• Familiarity with workflow/process documentation and operational coordination within matrixed organizations is helpful
