This job is full-time permanent.The Production Supervisor coordinates day, week and monthly production activities, coordinates with maintenance planning and execution to ensure a safe and optimum production environment. This position reports to the Paper Superintendent and is a leader of and resource for the production team(s). Key goals include: building and maintaining a safe work environment, meeting production objectives based on business strategy, collaborative problem solving to support objectives.Primary responsibilities:Supports the daily operations of assigned Paper Mill areas while adhering to, but not limited to policies and objectives in Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Environmental, Process reliability, Cost and Labor relations.Coordinate across functional departments (U&E, Pulp/Wood, Converting, and Maintenance) to successfully achieve mill goals.Coordinate with maintenance in the Paper Mill to improve Safety, Quality, and Process reliability.Coordinate and manage suppliers and consumable materials.Work with our customers, both internal and external, to achieve customer satisfaction.Provide education in technical and non-technical areas and oversee the safe and effective training of operators.Develop a strategic mindset to secure the future of the Paper Mill.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Pulp & Paper, Engineering, Business, Environmental preferred, or equivalent educational and experience in relevant field.3 years of leadership experience is required.Relevant experience in Operations or Maintenance functions preferred.Strong communication, troubleshooting, analysis, and mechanical aptitude skills.Working knowledge/experience utilizing MS applications and other production related applications.Desire and ability to work flexible hours to cover outages, weeknight call, and rotating weekend coverage duties.Demonstrated experience in promoting a safe working environment.You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
