About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry patients and cardiac medications - Ability to read rhythm strips - Stroke experience and managing post-stroke patients Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. This role involves the prevention of illness and injury, as well as the alleviation of suffering. The RN is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is essential. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This is in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and policies. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include: - Assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. - Managing a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse as needed. - Educating patients and families in health promotion and disease management. - Utilizing knowledge of pharmacology and safely administering medications. - Sharing responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. - Complying with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. - Actively participating in improvement initiatives and contributing to peer review practices. - Engaging in professional development and continuing education. - Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice. - Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. - Following established values and performing other duties as assigned.
