Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart blocks
• Care for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Pass a required telemetry exam prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in both medical/progressive care and thoracic IMC settings
• Familiarity with complex cardiac rhythm interpretation, including 3rd degree heart blocks
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
