Qualifications:

• Michigan Special Education (SPED) teaching certification required
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest working with middle school-age students
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a consultant and resource for teachers and staff on best practices in special education
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven recommendations for instructional strategies
• Support a manageable caseload of middle schoolers with varying exceptionalities
• Liaise with families, providing updates and resources to enhance student success
