Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations through initial sessions.
• Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and specialized equipment designed to alleviate pain and promote functional mobility.
• Regularly document treatment sessions, progress notes, and responses to therapy in a clear, concise manner to facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Advise and train patients, caregivers, and family members on effective mobility techniques and the proper use of assistive devices when applicable.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, participating in professional societies, and reviewing literature to stay informed on the latest therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A current state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
