Accounts payable manager

This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on manager to oversee full-cycle payables, serve as the primary administrator for corporate T&E platforms, maintain master vendor databases, and collaborate closely with the general ledger team during period-end closes.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent hands-on professional leadership experience.
• Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounts payable supervisory or management experience, with proven expertise in high-volume invoice coding, routing, and GL account classification.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP accounting software (Sage 100 experience is a major plus).
  • Direct experience as an SAP Concur Administrator managing employee expense workflows and policy compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and online banking portal payment loads (ACH/Wires).
• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, vendor relationship management skills, and clear verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff, driving daily production, accuracy, and professional growth.
• Manage high-volume central inbox queues to ensure timely capture of purchase invoices and prompt resolution of vendor inquiries.
• Evaluate invoice coding and routing workflows to identify continuous process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Oversee new vendor onboarding, collecting and auditing W-9 and W-8 tax forms , verifying registration status, and validating bank remittance details.
• Execute timely vendor disbursement runs by preparing, reviewing, and loading ACH and wire payment instructions directly onto online banking portals.
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and GL account classifications to resolve discrepancies prior to payment issuance.
• Serve as the dedicated SAP Concur Administrator , reviewing and approving all employee expense reports and reimbursements for T&E policy compliance.
• Design and deliver structured Concur onboarding and training programs for all incoming company new hires.
• Manage the complete end-to-end generation and distribution of annual 1099 tax forms to qualified vendors.
• Partner with the GL accounting team to calculate, prepare, and submit accurate period-end invoice accruals for month-end and year-end close.
