Position Summary

Serves as the regional leader for CMA CGM Group's Ethics, Privacy, and Integrity programs across North America, driving a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and regulatory compliance. Applies strong judgment, business acumen, and subject matter expertise to identify and mitigate compliance risks, advise business stakeholders, and develop practical solutions that protect the organization while enabling responsible business growth. Leads the implementation and oversight of the Group's data privacy compliance program across the region, partnering with Legal, Information Technology, Human Resources, Compliance, and business teams to ensure the responsible handling of personal data and adherence to applicable privacy obligations. Monitors evolving legal and regulatory requirements, assesses potential impacts to the business, and helps establish effective governance processes, controls, and risk mitigation strategies. Leads the North American anti-corruption compliance program, providing strategic guidance and oversight to promote ethical business practices and compliance with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, regulations, and Group policies. Partners with stakeholders across the organization to identify compliance risks, strengthen internal controls, and support sound decision-making in complex business environments. Provides regional leadership and coordination for the Group's Duty of Vigilance program, including support for the Speak Up whistleblowing framework and related governance initiatives. Promotes a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability by helping ensure concerns are appropriately raised, reviewed, and addressed in accordance with Company policies and compliance objectives. Serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on ethics, privacy, anti-corruption, and Duty of Vigilance matters, developing and delivering impactful training, communications, and awareness initiatives that strengthen employee understanding, reinforce compliance expectations, and foster a culture of ethical decision-making throughout the organization.

Functions & Duties

• Lead and serve as subject matter expert for data privacy compliance across CMA CGM Group’s North America region, ensuring data processing and storage practices comply with (1) applicable state, federal, provincial, territorial and international privacy laws/regulations, and (2) Group policies/procedures. Lead provision of advice and guidance related to data privacy as the North America region’s subject matter expert. Serve as escalation point for all data privacy-related matters. Lead data privacy training(s) for the North America region. Lead transversal project teams dedicated to ensuring data privacy compliance. Collaborate with Marseille Compliance and North America stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Group’s data privacy program, including but not limited to all data privacy related policies, procedures and requirements applicable to the Group shipping division. Lead data privacy related projects and assessments, including but not limited to (1) Leading evaluation of project compliance and recommendations to ensure compliance with North America regulatory requirements, in collaboration with Marseille Compliance, and (2) Leading evaluation, enhancement and implementation of data privacy notices, policies and related procedures, (3) Leading data breach response and investigation for the North America region. Serve as the primary Group shipping division regional contact for data subject requests, along with leading compliant responses.
• Lead the CMA CGM Group’s anti-corruption compliance program for the North America shipping division. Serve as the primary regional point of contact for all anti-corruption related matters. Collaborate with Marseille Compliance and North America business stakeholders to ensure high visibility and alignment for the Group’s anti-corruption program, including but not limited to all anti-corruption related policies, procedures and requirements applicable to the North America shipping division. Lead North America conflict of interest, gifts & hospitality, donations & sponsorships processes including campaigns, KPIs, reporting, tools, review and creation of policies, procedures. Lead Code of Ethics-related initiatives/campaigns at the regional level.
• Lead providing regional support for the CMA CGM Group’s Duty of Vigilance compliance program, including but not limited to collaborating with Marseille Compliance regarding human rights related topics, policies and procedures. Lead regional support for the Group’s Speak Up whistleblowing program, including but not limited to support for internal compliance investigations.
• Lead North America training/educational initiatives related to data privacy, anti-corruption and Duty of Vigilance topics such as the code of ethics, conflicts of interest, speak up program, gifts and hospitality, and donations & sponsorship. Actively support and provide subject matter expertise for the Group’s ongoing North America AFA training campaign.

At CMA CGM, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is $127,000 – $162,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and location.”
