Tooling Quality InspectorPosition Summary

The Tooling Quality Inspector ensures stamping dies, parts, and assemblies meet quality standards and specifications. This role is responsible for inspecting tooling, verifying dimensions, documenting findings, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations.

• Inspect stamping dies before and after production runs to verify condition, dimensional accuracy, and readiness for use.
• Measure tooling and parts using precision instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify and report wear, damage, defects, and non-conforming conditions; recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and document quality findings.
• Perform routine checks of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Production, Tool & Die, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve performance and reduce downtime.

• Experience inspecting stamping dies, tooling, or manufactured parts.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of quality inspection and documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Tool & Die, stamping operations, or manufacturing maintenance.
• Knowledge of die design and tooling systems.
• Experience using CMM equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, CT.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $67000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Middletown,CT.
