Healing Touch Physical Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Burke, Virginia. This full-time position, primarily focused on home care, offers the unique opportunity to be an integral part of our patients' recovery journey. Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite and involves working directly in patients' homes. Your typical work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work environment tailored around patient needs. Given the home care setting, you will have the opportunity to experience diverse patient scenarios and environments, making each day rewarding and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patient needs and therapeutic goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
• Administer effective therapies aimed at enhancing range of motion, strength, mobility, and overall function.
• Educate patients about their conditions and preventive measures for future health.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, ensuring accurate records are kept in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, providing motivation and encouragement to promote adherence to their treatment plans.
• Focus on promoting patient self-management to minimize reliance on medication and consider non-surgical alternatives when feasible.
• Maintain a patient-centric approach by adjusting treatment strategies based on patient feedback and progress.
• Continuously evaluate outcomes to measure the effectiveness of interventions and adapt plans accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is pivotal in delivering care to a diverse clientele ranging from post-operative patients to individuals with chronic pain and mobility impairments. You will work primarily with patients in their homes, assessing their environments and designing interventions that not only treat their physical limitations but also enhance their overall well-being. Your dedication to fostering healthy lifestyles will focus on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination in each patient.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions associated with your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs according to patient requirements.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions and practices.

Compensation and Benefits
