Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations, including reviewing patient history and performing specific assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Engage with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings, treatment strategies, and collaboratively set realistic care goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's condition, adapting plans as required based on ongoing assessments and healthcare advancements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to consult on complex cases and make necessary modifications to care plans in response to patient progress or challenges.
• Ensure thorough documentation of patient experiences, maintaining accurate records of care outcomes, progress notes, discharge plans, and follow-up procedures.
• Uphold a schedule that meets patient needs while balancing productivity expectations, demonstrating effective time management and punctuality.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the clinic's services and enhance patient access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Up Stream Physiotherapy Clinic, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on restoring mobility, enhancing function, and improving quality of life for each patient through customized therapy protocols and compassionate care. This role requires effective communication skills to ensure that patients understand their treatment plans and feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is necessary.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience
