Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Building Patrol Monitoring in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
