As a Security Officer Educational Full Time Patrol Site Protection in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and support a welcoming campus environment. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, visitor inquiries, and support for campus events while helping to deter security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
