5. About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Production Support Engineer to join our Production Support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical business applications in a 24x7 production environment. This role requires strong expertise in Linux/Unix administration, incident management, application troubleshooting, monitoring tools, and cloud technologies.

The candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to investigate production issues, implement fixes, drive operational excellence, and maintain service reliability.

6. In This Role, You Will

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 application production support for business-critical applications.
• Monitor application health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents within defined SLA timelines.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Manage application deployments, release, and change activities in production environments.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, and middleware-related issues.
• Execute Linux/Unix administration and support activities.
• Analyze logs and system metrics using Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex production issues.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and system maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on-call support and rotational shifts as required.
• Support cloud-hosted applications and services across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.

7. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Application Production Support or Application Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
• Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform log analysis and diagnose application performance issues.
• Understanding of application architecture, networking, and middleware components.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

8. Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API troubleshooting.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Certification in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

• Participate in 24x7 support rotations, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Proactively monitor systems and prevent service disruptions.

• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and customer-centric support delivery.
