Child and Youth Program Assistant

About the Position Position will be located on Buckley Space Force Base at either A-Basin or Crested Butte Child Development Center. This is a regular part‑time position with 20 guaranteed hours per week and eligible for benefits. Pay Target Level: $24.26 per hour Intermediate Level: $22.69 per hour Entry Level: $18.70 per hour Eligibility Open to everyone. Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered. Resumes must clearly describe relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required. All Levels Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent from an accredited school, and able to provide proof (e.g., diploma). Target Level (CY Program Assistant) 18 months working in any childcare or youth program. Completion of DoD approved competency training courses. Completion of entry and intermediate level training, evidenced by service‑issued documentation. 18 months experience in a childcare or youth program plus possession and maintenance of one of the following credentials related to the age group assigned: child development associate credential, military school age credential, or other nationally recognized youth development credential. 18 months experience plus an associate degree that includes a major course of study (24 credit hours) directly related to the assigned age group from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university. Possession and maintenance of child development associate credential, military school age credential, Army youth practicum, or other nationally recognized youth development credential. A bachelor’s degree or at least 120 semester hours with a major course of study (24 credit hours) directly related to early childhood education, child development, youth development, human development, elementary education, special education, secondary education, youth program administration, recreation, and physical education. Intermediate Level (CY Program Assistant) Six months experience equivalent to the CY-01 Entry Level working in a group program for children or youth. Completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent). AF Orientation Training Program. Entry Level (CY Program Assistant) No previous experience required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
