Production SchedulerThe Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning of production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity.Key objectives and responsibilities include:Acts on order releases action and exception messages from the company systemAnswer revision and cancellation requests from salesReceives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning reportReleases purchase orders for production material, floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unitInterfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issuesCreate job packet and run list for the daily runs for the assigned lineVerify coil availability for daily runs prior to giving job packet to line leadVerify special part details (Trim, Zee line)Communicate with sales teams regarding any issues with orders, details, etc.Communicate daily with team leaders of the assigned line concerning machine issues, changes to plan, etc.Interpret customer drawings and program appropriate punches (Zee Line).Must have a solid understanding of basic math skills to calculate design specificationsNeeds to have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office application in Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this roleEducation and work experience requirements include:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Some knowledge of manufacturing environmentQualifications/skills:To perform satisfactorily in this position, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
