Internal Communications Specialist

Overview

Responsible for developing, delivering, and measuring communications that align with business objectives and engage internal audiences. Create and execute communication plans across multiple channels. Manage internal communication channels, leverage project management tools, and adhere to established processes. Collaborate closely with team members, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders to ensure communications are aligned, timely, and impactful. Review communications for compliance with guidelines and contribute to team deliverables with increasing independence. Perform assignments of moderate scope and complexity, applying judgment within defined parameters. Support marketing analytics reporting by creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, monitoring communication and channel performance, and translating data into actionable insights that improve communications strategy and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with developing reporting and analytics using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), email software and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Create, deliver, and measure internal communications supporting Learning & Talent Development (L&TD) efforts that align with business objectives and engage employees.

• Support L&TD initiatives by contributing to strategic, audience-focused content development and execution that creates awareness and participation.

• Assist in developing communication strategies for small to medium-scale initiatives and organizational priorities.

• Align messaging with business objectives and employee engagement goals.

• Draft and deliver clear, engaging content across internal channels (e.g., intranet, email, digital signage).

• Write professional documents using compelling language tailored to specific audiences and tone of voice.

• Gather information to support the drafting, distribution, and measurement of communication tactics.

• Manage communication timelines and editorial calendars to ensure timely execution.

• Support project planning by reviewing timelines and using content management systems and tracking tools.

• Contribute to change communications and employee engagement initiatives.

• Coordinate logistics and resources for communication campaigns and internal events.

• Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback and communication metrics to inform strategy.

• Develop foundational skills in data analysis and measurement to improve communication effectiveness.

• Translate complex business challenges into clear, audience-focused messaging.

• Collaborate with team members to identify resources needed for communication projects.

• Conduct assignments of small scope and complexity under supervision, while building autonomy and influence.

• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing or related field.

• Basic understanding of business and operating environment.

• Proficient in drafting promotional campaign content, internal announcements, newsletters, and intranet content.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments).

• Understanding of employee engagement strategies.

• Experience using internal communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Slack, Yammer), and AEM, Adobe Analytics and PowerBI.

• Demonstrated experience creating actionable reporting and analytics for communication efforts

• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
