TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Neuro RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. 1:6 patient ratio. Every other weekend required. Floating to other med-surg/telemetry areas as needed.

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit caring for stroke patients, epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, subdural hematomas, subarachnoid hemorrhages, and other neurological diagnoses
• 42-bed unit with 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) specialty area
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 36-hour comprehensive orientation program
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, and advanced neuro assessments

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical experience (hard stop requirement)
• Previous travel experience required – first-time travelers will not be accepted; must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS (BCLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to float to other medical-surgical and telemetry units as required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
