Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans for patients, concentrating on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients about proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs that facilitate recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, while monitoring patient comfort and progress.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functionality.
• Maintain and prepare treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are ready and organized for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive and motivating environment during their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards while ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining their rights and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients with chronic health conditions. Our goal is to offer individualized care that caters to the specific needs of each patient, promoting both physical healing and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Solid understanding of therapeutic modalities, assessment techniques, and rehabilitation protocols.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Experience with a diverse patient demographic is a plus, particularly in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
