Technical Writer

The work The writing of technical documentation for Information Security, with a focus on policies, security standards, procedures, and deployments. Providing functional and technical writing support for resolving internal program inquiries. Liaising with team members and subject matter experts to answer questions, clarify issues, and ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking, and follow‑up. Creating original documents and Standard Operating Procedures. Developing, reviewing, and editing documentation for technical IT products, policies, security standards, processes, and deployments. Conducting research, data analysis, and creating reports. Communicating with engineers, subject matter experts, and teammates to identify processes, document them, and publish procedures. Taking responsibility for the completion and accuracy of all work products. Conveying technical details clearly to a range of audiences, both in writing and verbally. What you need U.S. Citizenship required. 2+ years of technical writing experience. Strong proficiency in the English language. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a desire to be involved. Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple projects and deadlines. Desire to learn new skills. Deep interest in cyber and security challenges in information technology. Technical writing skills. Detail oriented. Problem solving. Critical thinking. Technical proficiency. Understanding of government compliance. Bonus if you have Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Great interpersonal skills – team player. Versatile and self‑motivated. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Business, or Risk Management (or equivalent experience). Compensation Compensation for this role in the following states is based on labor costs and ranges from $91,300 to $184,500 USD.
