Chef de Cuisine
Bar Parisette
Bar Parisette is seeking a passionate and dedicated chef to join our team. Bar Parisette is inspired by the neo-bistros of Paris focusing on well-executed bistro classics as well as creative dishes that let seasonal ingredients shine. We believe that food and wine belong together, and our culinary and beverage programs are designed to complement each other. In two years of operation, Bar Parisette has received numerous accolades and built a strong following in the Logan Square neighborhood. In addition to nightly dinner service, we host a large and growing private events business.
Bar Parisette is the sibling restaurant of neighboring Table, Donkey and Stick, as well as Danke and Pizza Dada. The CDC will collaborate directly with ownership and the management team to steward the restaurant through our next phase of growth. Job Duties:- oversee menu development and recipe documentation
- lead service 4-5 nights per week
- plan and execute wine dinners, tastings, buyouts and other special events
- control food cost by properly managing inventory and ordering
- manage BOH staffing and labor budget
- ensure all presentation and quality standards are met
- teach and retain staff by fostering a healthy environment conducive to learning
- maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
- communicate effectively with all team members, participate in weekly management meetings, and conduct pre-shifts as needed

Qualifications:
- Minimum four years in high level kitchen management
- Genuine interest in food and wine
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to control labor costs and COGs
- Experience with private events
