Associate Attorney - Assessment Recovery

Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate attorney in Brentwood, TN, to join their Nashville Assessment Recovery group. Duties Manage a high project load and administrative staff. Independently handle all assigned cases in a diverse case load. Chair client corporate meetings. Manage electronic task lists and billing. Advise clients on the status of cases. Draft complaints and answers, conduct discovery, and prepare witnesses. Take and defend depositions, engage in motion practice, and conduct trial preparation and trials. Requirements Admitted to practice law in Tennessee. 0-5 years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in litigation-based civil matters. Demonstrated dedication and hard work in prior work experience. Experience using a Microsoft operating system and other sophisticated software. Availability during business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends for client meetings. Excellent personal skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Skills Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in all phases and tasks of legal matters.
