Event Coordinator

13th Street Kitchens is seeking an ambitious and thorough Events Coordinator to facilitate both large-scale and intimate events for our brands. Our group features several unique concepts (Café Lift Philly, Prohibition Taproom, La Chinesca, Café Lift Haddonfield, with more opening soon), and we are seeking someone who will manage the process from following up with leads through the execution of the event. The right candidate will take an active role in shaping and establishing the event processes for our company. We are seeking someone with an established record of generating leads and converting them into excellent, fun, and memorable events for our guests.

Reports to: Director of Operations, Ownership

Essential Functions:

- Initiating and facilitating inquiries to maximize sales opportunities.

- Promptly responds to leads with enthusiasm, establishes relationships with clients, and converts inquiries into sales.

- Acts as a point of contact or helps coordinate site visits for potential clients.

- Preparing and maintaining event BEOs and timelines. Excellent communication with our leadership team, as well the FOH and BOH managers at each location.

- Collecting deposits, confirming menus and guest counts with ample time before each event.

- Aiding restaurant management teams with all aspects of event setup and execution, from décor and seating arrangements to menu design and vendor support when needed.

-Attends weekly operations meetings at each of our locations.

-Establishes relationships and networks with concierges and event planners throughout our area.

-Ensuring guest satisfaction during the event and follows through with guests after the event in order to establish and maintain long-term relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:

-Very thorough and organized. We are seeking someone who can multitask and manage many irons on the fire at the same time.

-A warm, enthusiastic, and caring personality. We want our clients to feel like they are dealing with a friend who is helping them out, not a salesperson.

-Looks out for the best interests of the business while also knowing where to be flexible in order to convert leads into sales

-Dependable, professional, reliable, and punctual. We want somebody who is an ambassador for our brands and represents 13th Street Kitchens with grace and integrity.

-Is flexible and comfortable with a fluctuating schedule. While the Event Coordinator will not be required to attend every single event, they will be expected to ensure that those that occur in their absence are set up for success and that the client knows who their point of contact will be on site.

-Has experience in event planning and execution or has experience in restaurants who host events frequently.

-Is someone who likes to have fun! Many events are celebratory in nature, and clients can easily read excitement and passion. Such things are very attractive to clients when deciding where to spend their money.
